About me

Hi, I'm Sara.

Before launching Lake & Miles, I spent more than fourteen years as CEO of a nonprofit arts organization, where I wore a lot of hats: marketer, strategist, fundraiser, community builder, spokesperson, project manager, and general problem solver of all kinds. Along the way, I learned what many small organizations already know: there's never enough time, budget, or staff to do everything you wish you could.

That perspective shapes how I approach marketing today.

I believe great marketing isn't about chasing every trend or posting for the sake of posting. It's about understanding what makes your business special, telling that story clearly, and creating a sustainable plan that works in the real world.

Over the years, I've helped grow audiences, strengthen brands, build community connections, create content, lead teams, and navigate more than a few unexpected challenges. I've also built my own content platforms around cooking and hospitality and now work with organizations across the nonprofit, small business, and food & beverage spaces.

Whether you need a fresh set of eyes, strategic guidance, or someone to take marketing off your plate entirely, my goal is simple: help you spend less time worrying about marketing and more time doing the work that matters most.
